About NHMP
Department:
The National Highways & Motorway Police is also known as
NHMP which is Police force of Pakistan that is responsible to implement the
traffic rules, safety instruction ,road safety and some other duties preform by
motorway police. The motorway police founded un 1997 after construction
motorways network in Pakistan and now they also performing patrolling task on
motorways.
The national highway and motorway police leased with advance
technology for the enforcement of traffic rule and recently police has launches
the e challan system. For policing purposes, the national highways and motorway
network is divided into the Seven Zones, each headed by a DIG and supervised by
three Addl. IGPs. Each Zone is divided into multiple “sectors” and led by an
SSPs and SPs. Each sector is further divided into “beats”, each led by a DSP.
