The National Coordinator oversees NACTA, which was founded in 2008 as an administrative division of the Ministry of the Interior. Through the NACTA Act of 2013, the Authority was given administrative and financial independence and was formally established as a body corporate that was responsible to a Board of Governors. Additionally, the Act creates an Executive Committee to support the BOG.
